We’ve teamed up with local radio station Marlow FM and sponsored their brand-new ‘eco’ award “The Watt Next?” in their Hidden Gems Awards 2014.
Supported by the Mayor of Marlow, Suzanne Brown, carbon coach Dave Hampton, Chartered Environmentalist and presenter of the “Watt Next? – all things being eco” show on Marlow FM, created a brand-new category in this year’s Hidden Gems Awards. Intended to seek out the most inspiring green project or idea throughout the area, we here at Deriaz Slater, who are committed to green initiatives, jumped at the chance to be a part of it.
Last week Paul Deriaz, our Managing Partner, went down to meet the team at Marlow FM and the Mayor to kick off the excitement. He says ‘it’s great to be a part of celebrating a sustainable future for Marlow. Good luck to all the nominees although; you’re all winners in our book!’
So everyone, the judging panel are looking for something extra special that makes a real long-term contribution towards a better environment for us all. The winner could be a green school, business, building, product, project…anything that demonstrates sustainable, eco innovation right here in Marlow.
Entries are to be submitted via the Marlow FM website www.marlowfm.co.uk by Sep 6, and the winner will be announced at the awards dinner on Saturday September 27th, at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow.
Marlow FM is a not-for-profit radio station run by volunteers and its Hidden Gems awards are designed to celebrate the close-knit community in Marlow and recognise individuals, organisations and business for their efforts in aspects of town life.
So get involved everyone, get voting and then tweet us your eco-ideas!« Back to News & Blog
